“Cargill offered me a position in Trade Execution (TE) and it happened that I signed with Cargill for a long life together. I like my job and like to search for the opportunities --both are possible within the company.”

Sometimes you feel that you reach a top-limit in what you are doing and cannot see any further development. Thanks to my manager after 10 years developing with Cargill (each year interesting and fascinating) I went on a STA with WTU where I met colleagues who been working for the company for 30-40 years. I feel there is a lot more interesting ahead and a long-long way

Describe your work responsibilities and the importance of your role.

My desk handles with import-export flows execution. Each shipment differs from one another and every day not the same. My team executes 2/3 of the trading business.

Describe your day-to-day activities and the skills needed to perform well.

Analyze the issue, making right decision in time pressure, taking responsibility, action. Mine to control and be aware of all things going on at execution, interfere if team needs an advice or to coach them to find better ways, to improve processes and inspire the team. You need open communication with service providers and strong people management skills.

Describe your career path.

Where did you start and how did you get to where you are today? Curiosity, be active in searching opportunities. It’s not a long journey if to understand vertical career path. But I don’t like climbing, I prefer to walk in the mountains and enjoy

What do you find most rewarding about your work?

When my team is satisfied with the environment they work in and the opportunities they have. Respect of my colleagues (for myself).

Why did you choose to join Cargill and what keeps you here? In other words, how has a career at Cargill helped you to thrive?

It was fate. In the past 11 years, Cargill and I have been developing in parallel. Cargill was a well known company in my agricultural region. But I was not planning at that time to work in the agriculture. One day Cargill offered me a position in Trade Execution (TE) and it happened that I signed with Cargill for a long life together. I like my job and like to search for the opportunities --both are possible within the company.

What advice would you give someone interested in a career at Cargill like yours?

Tell your manager what development you expect. It’s 30 percent of success that you’ll get what you ask. Managers have lots of issues to think about, most of them are not able to read your mind. Be curious and take care about self-education. It’s a basic. Just only ambitions could lead you to a desirable position but doubt that you’ll get the respect of colleagues and satisfaction. You’ll make a fool of yourself instead of brilliant career. Support your ambitions with education, respect to colleagues, curiosity and you’ll win.

Share an interesting tidbit about yourself such as hobbies, volunteerism, favorite foods or activities, accomplishments inside or outside of work

I like travelling, admire mountains, nutting and berrying walking in a wood, clothes design and tailoring.
